I am in the process of getting documents prepared for a Tourist Visa in Kota Bharu. One document/"thing" i am not sure about is a "letter of guarantee". What is letter of guarantee? I didnt see where it was specific in from who or what. Is this something issued regarding my bank (Kasikorn) or is it something to do with rental agreement as well. I have never heard of a "letter of guarantee" from a rental place...but i wanted to make sure i am well prepared for all scenarios. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A 'letter of guarantee' is not required for a Tourist Visa application in Thailand. It is often mentioned in various visa requirements but typically does not apply for short-term tourist visas. Users inquiring about this aspect received confirmation that they can leave that section blank on the visa application form.
The visa application form is a standard form used for all kind of visa's. You fill in the parts needed for your type of choice of the visa. You do not need a letter of guarantee if you apply for a tourist visa, make sure you read and sign this small box on the form
@james I am currently working on solution with Amornrat . i am just needed to know what letter of guarantee is as it was in his document requirements list
Rodd Miller my concern is if you will be able to get another visa in SE Thai Consulates with your long stays already in Thailand. Please chat with Amornrat for advice. I wish you success.
How many months have you been in Thailand in 2019?
