Anyone having problems this week, transferring money to Thailand with Wise.

Hi friends

I have very disturbing problem.

I can not use My bank cards for online to buy ticets or something else.

Bank sending one time code to my Australian or Turkish phones.

But here I use an Thailand number and I can not reach my phones to get code.

I have sim cards of both phone numbers.

You guys having similar problem like me?

I really appreciated for your advice .

Ok so I arrived a week ago in chiang mai 2 days later I bought a new phone, now i have a thai sim card and carn’t get on my virgin money account as i need to transfer money for my retirement visa, so I’ve been in touch with virgin money and im going round in circles now because I carn’t get on my account they say i need a uk phone number to access my account!! And the phone ive got now won’t let me ring out of Thailand to sort this out… anybody else have problems like this?

Heads up for Bangkok Bank customers. Apparently the app is down for the day.

Looking for help please, trying open a Thai bank account . Seems like im.getting the run around at these Thai Banks. I have an O-A visa , went to SCB and told me i had show that i was retired and i explained to them its a retirement Visa. They said it wasnt and wanted something said retirement on it. Hi. I have a quick question at the end of this, but thought I'd share a quick message from my trip to Immigration yesterday (Friday) to renew my Non Immigrant O Long Stay visa (retirement visa). I've done this twice before, successfully, but ran into a wall yesterday. Thought I had everything I needed, you know the list. I got the bank letter from Bangkok Bank, Silom, the day before (Thursday) and asked them to update my bank book. That turned out to be the problem. I hadn't updated it since last May, and at the bank they only included transactions from Feb 2021 to now. Seeing the three new pages of updates, I didn't really check the dates. I "assumed" the bank book now had all of them since the last time I did an update. Yes, everything else was in order but because the bank book had "a gap" with no printed transactions from May 1, 2020 to the end of January 2021, I was denied (even though my balance has never fallen below the 800k requirement). I tried downstairs to get a full-year print out but, unlike many other banks who will do this the same day, Bangkok Bank said it would take 3-5 working days. My visa is up on May 4th. May 3 and 4 are bank holidays. Time is not on my side. I screamed on the motorbike back to the Silom branch and basically wouldn't leave until they agreed to try and get me a printout (after many times of "I'm sorry sir, can not").. Anyways, I got the print out at about 5pm. So, remember that, regardless of any other statements, ATM receipts the same day, etc,, it seems we need ALL the transactions of the last year as part of what we submit. Now my question: I will return to Chaeng Watana on Wednesday morning, one day late but the immigration lady said no late fee because of the holiday closure. But now my bank letter will be exactly 7 days old. I've read its good for 3 days, 7 days, 2 days, 4 days. Any idea? And if I need another one, does anyone know if the Bangkok Bank downstairs at Chaeng Watana will issue one? I could go to Silom branch before i go to immigration but it would be cutting it close as I really need to be back to downtown by 2pm.

Hello, is there anybody who could help me : if you understands Thai well, and are currently OUTSIDE Thailand, could you please dial Bangkok Bank Customer Service Number : +66 2 6455 555 and press the key 2 : "for English language", and wait about 10 seconds to listen to the message in... Thai (unfortunately not in English...) and let me know roughly what they say ?

I am trying for days to reach them, but it is impossible... and I do not understand Thai enough to understand what they say when I call them... Calling from Switzerland...

Give me joy, shipmates. I have finally completed the Thai Elite (TE) process.

If you're considering doing this, please allow at least two months(!) to complete it. It was even more in my case because it turned out my bankers are Hoares and Fuggers. And I made the mistake of transferring to my Thai account before transferring to TE. Side note, this step also showed that the actual price is not necessarily just 500k.

Big up to those of you who helped with advice (advise?) and pointers along the way. Owe you a beer or two!
