Anyone having issues with Bangkok Bank? App won’t log on and ‘communication error’ at 2 different ATM’s.

I used the Kasikorn ATM today to withdraw 20,000 bhat, charged me 53 US $ (673.10) more than the pink Government Saving bank (619$), yesterday. Be careful which ATM you use this dumbass took a beating.
The ATM should not matter, just make sure it bills you in THB not USD. If it asks, always select THB. The fees are identical for all of them, and the rate is not set by the Thai side but by Visa/MasterCard+ your home bank.
Check your account. I had the same problem this morning but when I went to the counter to withdraw the cash the failed ATM transaction was showing as a withdrawal. Have had to complete a form to get it refunded (hopefully!)
I had a similar situation once where there was a power cut JUST after the ATM debited the money but before it gave it to me. No problem getting back, they refunded it next day IIRC.
