DTV soft power (cooking) w/o income

Hi everyone, since I currently am on a career break with enough savings, I'm thinking of applying for a DTV and a cooking course. I meet the bank balance requirement - but I wonder if it's an issue that I have no income from a job? (I do have USD 1.3k rental income)

Any advice is appreciated.

Anyone looking for a great cooking course with good support for DTV app, try House of Taste in Bangkok or Phuket. Great

Soft power requirements

Hey everyone—quick question about the DTV under the soft power category:

If you’re enrolled in a course (like Muay Thai, cooking etc.), what happens when that course ends? Do you need to immediately enroll in another one to stay compliant? And if you leave Thailand after your course ends, do you need to already be enrolled in a new course before re-entering?

Trying to understand how strict immigration is about continuous enrollment and whether there’s any grace period. Appreciate any real experiences or up-to-date info—thanks!

Any DTV-approved, 6 month cooking courses in Chiang Mai for no more than 20k? Found several in Bangkok but can’t seem to find any online in Chiang Mai 🙏

DTV VISA

I’ve seen there’s options between Muay Thai & Cooking courses for the DTV VISA.

If you choose to do one of those courses for 6 months then leave Thailand & come back, there is no problem entering the country without a new course paid for again & arranged?

Thanks.
