Hi all, for Chaengwattana, what is the earliest I can apply for yearly non-o extension (based on marriage) from my 90 day non-o visa- is it 45 days or 30 days remaining?
In my previous yearly extensions is was basically a month’s consideration time, but it seems some have said 21 days- is this the norm now at CW? Thanks so much- trying to figure out timings before leaving for UK Christmas.
When do slots for appointments open up at Chaengwattana (specifically for retirement extension)? It is on a rolling basis? Once a month? And if so, what time of day do they become available?
I am a extending visa nonO ( based on marriage to Thai husband)after moving to new location. Previously at Nonthaburi immigration, now it is Chaengwattana.
Do I need to bring the documents from my previous extension at Nonthaburi.
Asking the question, because this was a requirement for my first extension at Nonthaburi.
I understand each immigration office is different in it's requirements. Handouts do not mention this.
If no one knows, I shall bring all documents so that will be covered.
I know I've asked this question before however, with all the rule changes...
What is the current list of requirements for extending a 90-day visa based on visiting family to the 1 year please...? I've an appointment booked for early next week at IT Square
Hi, I left my job in Bangkok and have moved to the south of Thailand.
My work permit has been cancelled and I’ve just received the cancellation paperwork from my boss, which I was told that I needed.
Do I need to return to changwhattana and get them to add the cancellation stamp to my passport or can I just go to the closest land boarder, exit and enter?
I just found out that 90-day self reporting to immigrant is required for DTV. Is this the office that I have to go?
Chaengwattana Immigration Office:
The main office for 90-day reporting in Bangkok is located at the Government Complex (Building 😎, 120 Moo 3, Chaeng Watthana Road, Soi 7, Thung Song Hong, Lak Si, Bangkok 10210
Hi everyone, ive posted the same on other forum and as of now i have not receive reply from anyone that has gone thru similar situation.
We will need to renew our current retirement visa extension 45 days prior to the end of the validity date. Reason being, we will be out of country for 2 month in which the expiry date falls within the 2 months where we will not be in thailand.
We understand that only certain immigration office will process/accept renewal request within 45days in advance. One of them will be Chaengwattana Div. 1 (correct me if I'm wrong and appreciate some guide)
We leave in Rayong and the immigration office here will only process/accept request within 30days and not any earlier.
Questions:-
1) if we book a hotel in bangkok and get tm30 for 1 night or 2, will chaengwattana div. 1 office accept our request?
2) can we get the bank letter regards to our 800k a day before we send in our request? Or it has to be the same day as submission? We will also update our bank book the same day as the letter issued as we can do both on same day.
3) will we be able to get our passport back in the same day or it will take a working day which we will only be able to get it next day? Our 45days period falls on a Friday.
Your help and advice on this matter will be highly appreciated 🙏.
For those that are interested in the process, hope this is useful.
I received my new Australian passport at the embassy and current passport was marked as cancelled. I held Non-O Visa (Thai wife), now on first yearly extension of stay, and have multi re-entry permit. Extension & re-entry both from Chaengwattana.
Arrived CW 2pm Wednesday 28 May, was given ticket for counter L with 35 people in front of me. My ticket was called at 3:50pm.
Gave counter L my new & old passports, completed transfer form, with copies of requested documents on the form ([members only]).
Took 15 minutes to process, and then I was sent to the re-entry section. It was after 3:30 so I couldn't get a ticket number for re-entry counter, so just asked the staff in the re-entry section (hoping they wouldn't tell me to come back next day) and they then copied re-entry stamp into new passport also.
Whole process completed by 4:20pm.
I think it was helpful that the re-entry permit had been issued by CW, as the re-entry staff first saw an expired re-entry permit issued by Suvarnabhumi Airport, and were discussing between themselves about which office had issued the reentry permit.
I've attached copies of what the stamps in new passport look like, as they are like a duplicate of the original stamp, with a 'this is a correct copy' stamp and signed by immigration officer.
