After asking some questions during the past months, I think it's fair I share my experience this year. With a EU passport I arrived Thailand in May and left after 58 days for 3 weeks. In my August re entry, I received 2 more months. On October I went to the IT square immigration office and received a 1 month extension. Overall i managed to stay in Thailand for around 5 months with the visa exemption scheme. I just have good things to say about the overall process, my second entry in August ( where I feared some problems), was the smoothest possible, less than 1 minute taking a picture and figure prints, no questions asked ( a female IO). In IT square, arrived around 12.30, services were stopped for lunch but at 3.15 pm I was out with my extension, once more, no questions asked. I didn't had a past of long stays ( usually 2 months a year 1 plus 1 extension prior to 2024). But I have decided if next year I will stay as many months I will get a proper long time Visa.

Am I currently able to enter thailand for a short visit without a visa with an EU passport? do i need to file any documents online prior to arrival?

I applied 18 june for the DTV , passed al documents ; and since 21 june i wait for the approval

I am planning to leave 17th July from Cambodia to Thailand so I hope to have the visa in due time, however if that would not be the case and the visa would be granted after 17th july , can i then simply got to thailand 60 days with EU pasport, return september to cambodia and then use the DTV

in other words, if they grant the visa how many days you have before entering Thailand ??

I have a EU passport and have visited Thailand every year since 2018 (except 2020 and 2021). Staying always 2 months. Used the 30-day visa exemption and the 30 day extension. In 2024 the 60- day exemption was enough.

This year I plan exceptionally to come twice, 2 month May- July returning to Europe for 3 weeks and then again near 3 months planning the 60 day exemption plus the 30 day extension. Always with a 2 way returning trip booked. I never imagined i could have a problem doing this, but by what i have been reading here....

Assuming the first trip will be peaceful, my question is about the problems i might find in the second (August-November).

1- When i try to get the one month extension i may be denied ?

2- Emirates (or another fly company) may denie my boarding saying i am returning in 3 months but my visa exemption just works for 2 months ?

If you feel there would be problems i would be grateful for some suggestions.

Theoretically i can try to get a DTV Visa but i was not expecting it would be necessary.

What is the best option to come back to Thailand? a) apply for visa at Thai embassy in Manila ? b) is there a re-entry visa one can make for 1 or 2 months before leaving Thailand ? Hi all. I have citizenship in 2 countries (dual citizen) and I have a question about changing passports to enter Thailand. For several years I entered Thailand (for tourism) on my non-EU passport. In 2021, I changed my permanent address to a country inside the EU. From now on, I would like to enter Thailand on my EU passport, which I have never used to enter Thailand before. Since I have a record of entering Thailand (over several years) on my non-EU passport, will there be a problem at Thai airport immigration if I now started using a different passport (i.e. EU passport) to enter Thailand? Hello, thank you for accepting my request to join. I’m going to Thailand on the 4th of May and I’m applying for a TR visa. Normally I can have a visa on arrival for 15 days but I want to stay for a month so I’m applying for a TR visa. I am joining a kung fu training camp for a few days and I have a confirmation payment letter from them I can use for my visa. My question is, in my visa there’s this coming up:

"Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency. “.

Do you know what this is? Is it a letter I have to have from my local embassy? I’m from Cyprus on an EU passport with settled status living in London. My local embassy is in London.
