sorry if asked already

I applied 18 june for the DTV , passed al documents ; and since 21 june i wait for the approval

I am planning to leave 17th July from Cambodia to Thailand so I hope to have the visa in due time, however if that would not be the case and the visa would be granted after 17th july , can i then simply got to thailand 60 days with EU pasport, return september to cambodia and then use the DTV

in other words, if they grant the visa how many days you have before entering Thailand ??

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a user's concerns about their DTV visa application and travel plans, highlighting the potential timing issues with their visa approval before a planned departure from Cambodia to Thailand. The community responds by advising the user to remain in Cambodia until the visa decision is made, cautioning against entering Thailand prematurely as it may affect the application status.

Stay in Cambodia UNTIL you have the decision on the DTV visa application.

As above - you are meant to stay in the country till visa is granted or rejected. 17th July is plenty of time even if Cambodia is slower right now due to the border tensions. No need to be fretting over timing just yet.

I applied May 21 and my flight is July 1. According to their conditoins I prebooked Airbnb (unrefundable) and my flight is only partially refundable.

Due to the ongoing tensions between Cambodia and Thailand it might not be the best place to apply for DTV right now. Not the highest priority for the Embassy

They not cancel it

They have the right to do so, you have to be in the country you apply during the process. The fact that it is now e-visa does not change those rules.

But if you go back to Thailand before you DTV is approved, they may cancel your visa application
Eirik ***********
That would be ridiculous. In my case, I booked the plane ticket + hotel in accordance with their requirements. So yea if they do that in my case, I'm never going to Thailand again.

What wouild be ridiculous? Tha a visa application is cancelled because the applicant does not follow the rules? Visa tourism has some risks because it is always uncertain how long an application will take.

Therefore the advice is to apply where you live, and long enough before travelling to the country.
