Hi guys, I’m applying for the Soft Power DTV through the London Embassy. I have a 12-month Muay Thai course booked.

There’s a question asking for the intended length of stay. Obviously, I can’t put 12 months as I understand the DTV allows up to 180 days per entry.

Would it be better to put 6 months or less as the intended length of stay?

When I applied I put 5 years as I was applying for a 5 year DTV. They are not trying to trick you with the 180 day requirement, they genuinely want to understand your plan.

I have had my visa now for almost 2 years btw.
