What was the experience and timeline of a DTV visa application through the Thai Embassy in Brazil for expats?

Sharing our experience with my partner’s DTV application through the Thai Embassy in Brazil in case it helps anyone. Took 2.5 days from application to approval 🎉🙏🏻

Timeline:

* Day 1: Submitted the application. About 3 hours later, it moved into processing.

* Later that day, we received a request for additional documents. We submitted what was requested.

* Day 3: Around early afternoon (UTC), the status changed to Pending Approval.

* About 7 hours later, the application was approved and the visa was delivered by email.

Total processing time: Just under 3 days from submission to approval.

For us, the only additional document requested was proof of address, and once that was uploaded, there were no further requests.

Hopefully this gives others a rough idea of what the process and timeline can look like. Of course, every application is different, but I know reading other people’s timelines helped us while we were waiting.🤗💪
