Apologies if this isn't allowed here. But my daughter got her US citizenship today and my girlfriend got denied her Visa to the USA. I was also recently denied my Non-Immigrant O visa to Thailand for "insufficient paperwork". The only thing I can figure out is that my daughter has not had her birth certified as being my daughter.

Does anyone have experience writing their congressman in the USA to help with Visa help? I really want my parents to meet their granddaughter, but my Mom is not healthy enough to fly here to Thailand.

I will take any advice for my situation to stay in Thailand with my daughter and travel to the USA with her as well. If anyone knows somebody that can certify a birth for a 6 month old child I would really appreciate it too. Thank you.

Was wondering if my Lao wife can work in Thailand with a work permit. She was born in Laos. Shes been in the US over 40 years. We've been married over 20 years. She has her US citizenship. So technically she is a US citizen and probably doesn't fall into the agreement between Lao and Thailand. We are planning on retiring in Thailand but she said she may get bored amd want to work somewhere.

I am curious and want to ask a question for expats from the US, that have married Thai women. What are the specific rules concerning social security and a Thai spouse? I've done some research but I'm still not quite clear and I'd like to hear from anyone that has married a Thai lady and is on social security. It says that they have to live in the US for 5 years, although they're not consecutive. And what if you then died? Would she get a portion of your social security? Especially if she had a child under 16 years old?

Not looking for anybody to tell me Don't get involved with a Thai lady here. Please, don't want to hear that. Just want to know about the question and I appreciate you sticking to that topic.

Thank you.

Hi folks, I hope this question hasn't been asked a million times but here it is. My Thai wife and I live in the USA. We hope to live in Thailand part time as my wife has a house and some land. We also plan to buy or build a new house there. The real question is, if my wife applies for US citizenship, can she still keep her Thai citizenship and still qualify for land ownership? I appreciate any thoughts or direction where to get clear answers.

Reaching out to any US Citizen in Bangkok who had tried to apply for SSS pension locally. My wife is 64 and is opting to apply early SSS pension. Is this process even possible to do? I'm 70 and mine got processed in Virgina when I took early retirement at 63 and moved here. Don't even know when we can travel to mainland USA. Appreciate any advice and guidance. Thank you and be safe.
