Just picked up my shiny new visa in Laos, nice surprise its the full 90 days not the 60 (tourist visa) which I applied for, is that normal? I would of extended it anyway but this saves me the hassle and fee.

First time doing it in Laos couldn't of been easier, get there early by 8 am queued for 45 mins, pickup next day in 15 mins

Vientianne? Good to know it was a smooth experience.

You are confusing TWO separate things.

A single entry tourist visa is VALID for 90 days <- meaning you have that long to ENTER the country.

BUT

When you do enter the country you will be stamped in for 60 days on a tourist visa.;)

@Sha***
correct (y) you'll get stamped in for 60 days AND if you want to you can go to the immigration office and get a 30 day extension for 1900baht.

Ahh that makes more sense, so after clearing immigration on my way back in the stamp will give me 60 days
