Hello. I thought I get 6 months validity, according to the Thai Tourism Authority. Now it’s only 3 months. I plan to enter on January 9th. Will I get 60 days, or will they only stamp me until Feb 23rd?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is concerned about the validity of their Thai tourist visa, stating they expected 6 months based on information from the Thai Tourism Authority, but received a 3-month visa instead. They inquire about the duration of stay they will receive upon entering Thailand on January 9th. Comments clarify that since the user applied for a conventional TR visa, they will receive a 60-day stay upon entry, provided it is before the visa expiration date of February 23, 2021.

Yes, I applied for a “conventional” TR visa. The TAT had an info on their Facebook page though saying it would be 6 months at this time. Anyways. Happy I got it. And happy about your reply. Thank you! 😊

You did NOT apply for the "Special Tourist Visa", that's just a regular single entry tourist visa. It's good for entry to thailand until the 23 of Feb 2021

AND

like all tourist visas(as long as you enter on or before the date it expires) you'll get stamped in for 60 days
