I am applying this week for a 58day visa. As far as I know the embassy gives 3months validity of visa to enter the country upon approval of our application and once we pass the customs in thailand and passport get stamped that's the day our 58days start to count. Right?

So lets say If I get my visa by next week Aug25, I have time until more or less November 25 to enter thailand.

So lets say even if I enter Thailand on the very last day November 24 or 25, I would be still given a 58days permit to stay so something like until January 22 or such. Right?

What passport country are you from? There is no such thing as a 58 day visa.

You are probably referring to a tourist visa which is 60 days. The day you enter is day 1 regardless of the time you enter so you get stamped in for 59 remaining days.

However many countries now can enter with no visa and get a stamp for free for 60 days (59 extra days).

For many there is no point in paying for a tourist visa.
