My wife and I are planning to apply for the DTV later this year with her and my child as my dependents. What are the best countries to apply in that only require the 500k for one person and not each individual? We are from the USA but are okay with flying to another country to apply and then forward to Thailand from there.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is inquiring about the best countries to apply for the Thailand Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) where the financial requirement is only for one person (500k THB) instead of each family member. Other users contribute insights about variations in requirements among different embassies regarding the necessity of additional funds for dependents and suggest checking with individual embassies for specific guidance.

Some embassies will let you get the DTV and not show extra funds for the dependants while others want the 500K THB for each person even children. Best to check with individual embassies cos obviously it is a huge difference Good luck

Amount in the bank only varies based on exchange rate, everything else the same ... 1 person gets cleared for DTV and then you add spouse or children.
