I just wanted to provide info for those Brits applying for a tourist TR Visa in the UK via the new eVisa electronic application system.

[members only]/

I applied online on Sunday 7 August 2022 and it came through via email at 2350 hrs on Wednesday 10th August.

The fee was £30. I uploaded my passport information page, photos of previous entry stamps for all countries visited in the previous 12 months, a one way ticket into Thailand and a copy of my rental contract and a UK bank statement showing available funds. I think the minimum was the equivalent of 10,000 baht but don't quote me.

I did no have to show/upload an onward or return ticket. I'm aware I might have to show an onward ticket when I check in with Emirates before I fly.

I've attached a photo of this visa for info which has a QR code.

This is an easier process now, not having to send the passport off for a Visa sticker and providing a return envelope etc.

However some fields require in upload of a document that is often not relevant such as ID of person inviting you to stay. You cannot proceed with the submission without uploading something. I just wrote on a price of paper 'Not Applicable', took a photo of it and uploaded that to the specific part of the application so I could move onto the next page. This was accepted.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK resident shares their experience applying for a Thailand Tourist TR Visa using the new eVisa application system. They detail the online application process, which included uploading various documents such as passport information, proof of previous travels, a bank statement, and a rental contract. The applicant notes that they did not need to provide an onward ticket during the application but may need one when checking in for their flight. They found the process to be simpler compared to previous methods that required mailing in a passport. Additionally, they mentioned overcoming a non-relevant document requirement by submitting a 'Not Applicable' note, which was accepted.

Thank you for the update Ian, really appreciate it

BUT as this is specific to the UK and specific to the eVisa system I will close comments because no everyone uses that eVisa system or the UK consulate

Still thank you so much for the update, especially the part where you used the Not Applicable photo upload in fields that did not apply

Congrats
