Can anyone advise what value of insurance which is currently required to extend OA visa from within Thailand? ( Chiang Mai).
Does the insurance have to be from an approved Thai list or will an internationally sourced (UK) policy be accepted?
If an international policy is acceptable is their a requirement for the policy to be pre- approved by immigration or subject to any other Gov / Immigration approvals ? TIA.
TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend an OA visa from within Thailand, it is generally required to have insurance from a Thai company with a minimum coverage of 3 million Thai Baht. The acceptance of internationally sourced insurance policies, such as those from the UK, may not be effective unless specifically pre-approved by Thai immigration.
