I have a Non-0 visa for visiting family.

I will stay for 90 day with a 60 day extension.

I am confused regarding my insurance requirements to enter Thailand.

I have read that I only need a 30 day Covid insurance for $50,000 others have said I need that insurance for the full length of my visit.

Advice please.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand on a Non-O visa, you must have health insurance that covers the duration you'll be stamped in upon arrival. For a 90-day stay with the option of a 60-day extension, you need insurance for at least the first 90 days. If you're 75 years or older, a government-sponsored COVID-only policy might be your best option. Some users clarified that while initial entries may require at least 30 days of COVID insurance, a full policy is recommended to cover any potential extensions.

And as this involves required insurance to enter or reenter Thailand...and not a visa question...

Just know that you will need proof of insurance for the TIME STAMPED into Thailand upon arrival.

In your situation with a NEWLY issued Non O as married to Thai you will be stamped in for 90 days and need three months of insurance.

And...as you are age 75+

Your best a option for the required insurance may be the Thai government sponsored COVID ONLY policy which issues at same rates thru age 99.

not really without paying more...

Had you flown Emirates and bought your ticket before December 1st...it was FREE.

FYI...I am in the same boat as you...at age 77

There is no reasonable priced $50,000 policy. And I have been shopping for one.

You may need to renew your insurance to get the visa extension.

You need the insurance policy covering the period that you would be stamped for upon your entry. If you enter Thailand on Non-O visa, your first 90days should be insured.
