I have been seeing my Thai girlfriend for over 6 years now, i go to Thailand for 4 months every year , l wanted her to come to London last year for a months holiday over the Christmas period we completed all the documents to apply for her holiday visa but it was rejected by thenritish home office, the reason for rejection was that they did not believe that she would return to Thailand when her visa expired 😡 and that we could not appeal this decision, can anyone advise on this situation.

PSA: If your Thai girlfriend has applied for a tourist visa (u.s. specifically) the consulate has already approved/denied it BEFORE the interview. Found this out the hard way today. We had all the proper documentation and every reason for a tourist visa and NOT a K1 or any other visa. Neither of us wishes to live in the U.S. They didn't look at a single document, passport, or anything else. 3 questions, what's your boyfriend do for work, what do you do for work, and how long did you plan to stay in the u.s.? Denied in under a minute.

SUGGESTION: for those applying for a legitimate tourist visa for their girlfriend. They will be denied the first time, almost 100%...BUT, you can apply again immediately and in the next interview (even though they will likely be expecting to deny it pre-interview date) ask them to reconsider. State you were denied, and you are reapplying because you'd like them to reconsider, and explain why you will not be using the tourist visa to stay in America and not come back, and that you have all the supporting documents and reasons, that show your gf/bf will return to Thailand.

Just food for thought, for those in the same situation. I'm not a lawyer, but a lawyer was the one that said it was denied pre-appointment, and the interview is just a formality.

Can anyone give me the heads up of the hurdles to get my Thai GF of 2.5 years a Visa for 3 mths to visit UK in Sept this year? What do I need to prove if anything? I've been In Thailand with her twice for 4 week stays since Dec 21 and able to prove a relationship since 2019 and can support her in UK.

Have no idea where to start other than the process of start applying but be great to have the heads up of what we might need to produce so have it ready.

Good afternoon everyone and thank you in anticipation of a positive response. I am enquiring to see if anyone has been successful in getting a Schengen Visa for their Thai GF or wife to enter Spain, I have had two refusals and really can't understand why. Funds, insurance, accommodation, return flights etc were all in accordance with the visa requirements and just about the only information we hadn't supplied was our shoe sizes. Can someone please help with this.
