SUPER LAST-MINUTE SUCCESS STORY !!!

I’ve been checking the Hanoi and Ho-Chi-Minh embassy websites every hour for the last three days for an online appointment, but everything was fully booked. Yesterday at 2:00 a.m., an appointment spontaneously became available in Hanoi for the same day at 9:40 a.m. I booked the embassy appointment, the flight, the hotel, printed all documents —everything—within 3 hours. Five hours after booking, I was already sitting on the plane to Vietnam. I landed at the airport at 8:30 a.m. and took a taxi straight to the Thai embassy, arriving around 9:50 a.m. Luckily they didn’t mind the 10 minutes delay.

I submitted my documents yesterday (Wednesday) and by this evening, I had already received an email confirming my visa. Tomorrow (Friday), I can pick it up and fly back to Thailand.

My passport is from Western Europe, and I took the Medical Treatment Route.

I’ll make an overview of the total costs.

Costs:

1. DTV Visa 340 USD ~ 11000 baht

2. Flight BKK to Hanoi = 3660 baht

3. Hotel in Hanoi for 2 days = 2000 baht

4. Flight Hanoi to BKK = 1500 Baht

5. Mobile Internet for Vietnam = 430 baht

6. Grab Taxi from my home to Don Mueang airport = 380 baht

7. taxi hanoi airport to Thai Embassy = 800 baht

8. passport photo (70000 VND) 92 baht

9. photocopy (5000vnd) 6.69 baht

Total = ~19.808 Baht

Thai Embassy in Myanmar takes an interview for every applicant (except those who depend on the DTV holder). Is it the same in the Thai Embassies in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam?

Hi everyone!

My partner and I are in Vietnam and would like to apply for a 60 Tourist Thai Visa (with a plan to extend 30 days).

We have booked our flight to Chiang Mai for Dec 7 & hope to have the visa sorted asap.

Before we go to the embassy with our physical passport / ID, is there anything else we need to apply?

We’ve read that a recent 4x6 photo may be needed. Is this correct for a 60 day visa?

Any information RE the documents we require would be helpful, there’s a lot of info online and some of it is conflicting.

Hello everyone. Can you please help me. I am trying to get to Thailand from Vietnam and I don't know how to apply for the visa. Previously I came from Finland and I could do it online but on the website that Thailand has in Vietnam I didn't see anywhere that I can do it online, and there are mostly news. I already bought the in and out tickets thinking is going to be easy and my departure is on the 3rd of August. My time for applying is short. I can do visa on arrival because I come from Romania

Thank you Ina dance for your help

Hi😊 For your info:

Ho Chi Min and Hanoi Thai Embassy, Vietnam DO NOT give 1 year multy Non-B, if you are CONDUCTING your business + holding WP.

1 year multy for BUSINESS visas is possible only for those NOT working, but only conducting business.

3 months single is the only option for WP holders. BUT! If you have 4 imployed Thais in your company, paying tax, you can turn this 3 months in one year multy in your local Immigration office. Those with only 2 workers taxed can not prolong it.

I do not know about any other visa types, but above info is today fresh 😢

The stuff in the Embassy told, now Penang is the only place to get 1 year multi for conductors+WP. If you have RECENT experience in other countries or Kuala Lumpur, please let us know 🙏😊
