My wife and I would like to move to Thailand next year with non-O retirement visa. My understanding for lump sum money that we need to deposit in Thai Bank is 800k + 400k = 1.2 Mil tbh. Is this the same if my wife comes to Thailand a little later than me, say 3 or 4 months later? Or does she have to apply for her visa on her own and we need total of 1.6 million tbh? Another possibility is for her to follow me like 6 months later. If she does that, can we re-use the 800k that I used to get my extension by depositing into a bank account under her name? TIA

My marriage visa is expiring on Jan 28. A couple of questions.

I will leave and re-enter the country as I need to redeposit the 400k.

1. Will I need 2 or 3 months after depositing 400kthb to reapply for the marriage visa?

2. Do I need to notify immigration to cancel the visa before I leave.

Hi...about to apply for Retirement Visa. Arrived a week ago on 30 day visa exemption. Over 50, 800k in thai bank for over 3 months, lease signed, do i also need 3m baht of medical cover ? Need to show that insurance ? How long it needs to be valid for ? Anything else needed ? Thank you.

Hi guys.....I have a Non-O extension based on marriage. If it expires on September 30th when is the earliest I can apply for a new extension?

If my memory is correct, I think we can apply for a new visa extension up to 45 days before it expires. Is that correct?

Is there anyway to do it even earlier than that, for example by cancelling my existing extension and re-apply?

The reason I ask is because I am considering using some of my 400k deposit and would rather not have to wait until October.....

My fiance (Filipino) is planning to come to Thailand on a Tourist visa (60 days) and we have plan to do the marriage registration then apply for Non-O (Thai spouse) in the country but it seems like he needs to deposit the money in Thai Bank and leave it there for 2 months in order to do so. The problem is he doesn't has enough time.

The questions are

1. Is it possible for him to extend the visa by using Visiting Thai Family extension? (The marriage registration will be done during he's on his TR visa )

2. Is it possible to use the TR visa extension for 30 days first then use Visiting Thai Family extension for another 60 days?

Or is there any other options?
