Hello, does the TM28 still need to be filled out? I heard that it has been scrapped. Thanks.

As far as I know, today there were several DTV applications rejected at the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The Embassy didn't announce the rejection reason.

It seems they are treating the DTV application very strictly and very seriously

Hi everyone, I would really appreciate some clarity...

I have accepted a job at an International school in Chiang Mai starting August 1st. I currently live in Hong Kong and the visa process here takes a long time (police check wait time is 2 plus months) I'm not sure I'd be able to make it to Thailand by August 1st.

Can I go to Chiang Mai mid July on a tourist visa and have it converted to a non B visa? If so, how long is the approval time and would a Thai police check be sufficient?

Non-O 90 days application question:. I just submitted all the necessary paperwork myself at the immigration office, no visa agent. They say everything looks good, but come back in two weeks. Are they checking to make sure that everything, bank statements, lease, etc., is as it should be?

For those who have been following our family’s situation, I am happy to report that we just got back from Penang with dependent visas for our daughters in hand!

Here are some notes based on our experience. I can’t ensure that everyone will have the same experience, but the consulate seemed very understanding of our situation and were very accommodating to us while we were there.

The main things the consulate wanted to see were our:

- Filled-out visa applications w/ photos

- Passports

- Work permits

- Flight itineraries back to Thailand

- Bank statement

- Official letter from foundation

- Foundation registration papers

- Director’s legal paperwork

For our daughters’ applications, they specifically requested copies of my:

- e-visa confirmation

- Passport pages

- Work permit pages

***They wanted them for each child’s application.

At the Penang Consulate, they only take Malaysian Ringgit. It’s 320 ringgit per Non-O single entry visa, paid in cash upon application submission.

Visa applications can be made 9am-11am. Pickup is usually next day from 2pm-4pm. We got there around 8:30 and there was a long line, but they allowed us to go ahead because we had small children. I applied for everything myself, while my wife and daughters were told to wait outside the building.

I hope this helps!

Hi. Myself, wife and son are Australian and travelling to Thailand from Croatia. As we are not in Australia we could not get a tourist/work visa from the thai embassy so we are entering as visa exempt. We have teaching jobs waiting for us there.

The employer has been working on the paperwork for this on our behalf and we have collected all required, legalised documents etc.

A couple of questions:

1. I believe we can extend this for an extra 30 days if we pay about 2000 baht. Is this correct?

2. Can we apply for a non-immigrant B visa having entered on the visa exemption? The employers HR department is saying this is possible.

3. Will we actually get denied entry if we do not have proof of flights to leave Thailand as we go through immigration at Bangkok airport?

Many thanks in advance!
