Hi all! My family and I, from Mexico, are landing at BKK Airport on March 29. Which visa should I apply for the whole family: eVisa, eVisa On Arrival, and Visa On Arrival? How long may it take to get the visa granted and how much does it cost? Thank you so much!!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Mexican nationals traveling to Thailand have several visa options available. They are eligible for a Visa On Arrival (VOA) at the airport, which costs 2000 Baht and allows a stay of 30 days, but it is non-extendable. Alternatively, they can apply for an eVisa On Arrival in advance. If the family desires to stay longer than 30 days, obtaining a Single Entry Tourist Visa from the Thai Embassy/Consulate before their trip is recommended. Processing times and application methods may vary by location, so checking with the relevant Thai embassy or consulate is advised.

Citizen of Mexico must apply for a VOA - visa-on-arrival, at the airport. It costs 2000.- Baht fee. If you enter before March 31st, you will be granted 30 days "admitted stay". The stay CANNOT be extended. If you wish to stay longer, you need to apply for a 60-days Tourist Visa in your country. I do not know if the Thai Embassy of Mexico use an E-visa system or if you have to apply in person at the embassy. Their website should give you all needed info

, they can use also eVisa On Arrival (<- Not eVisa as others are using) in advance if they want to. Still, they need to queue with approved evidence at the airport though.

Are VOA and eVOA at the same cost and processed at different sections at the airport? Which one should be faster? We have 2 little kids and arrive about midnight.

check the eVisa site. eVOA. Both of Bangkok airports are supposed to have lanes for eVOA.

As Mexican nationalities, you are allowed to enter Thailand on Visa On Arrival at the entry point to Thailand. You also can apply for eVisa On Arrival in advance. You can check processing time on eVOA site. You have to have outbound travel tickets upon entry to Thailand for those. Either VOA/eVOA allows you to stay 30 days 29 nights and it's not extendable.

If you have the possibilities to want to stay longer, you better get Single Entry Tourist Visas at the Thai Embassy/Consulate where you are now before you fly to Thailand. It depends on the country you are in now if you can apply through eVisa or needs to go to the embassy in person. Check the website of the Thai embassy/consulate for requirements and processing time by yourself first. Those vary for each embassy/consulate.

Thank you! I'll check eVOA. I've just noticed that we're NOT eligible for eVisa.
