Visa requirement depends on the country of passport...some countries like usa are exempt from having visa for stays upto 30 days

If you are going for thirty days or less you don't need one you only need your boarding pass and passport
I went last October and I didn't need a visa because I only stayed three weeks. I just looked it up because I am going again in October. If you are staying thirty days or less an a American you only need your passport and a boarding pass or return ticket. They are also implementing a sixty day visa upon entering Thailand but that hasn't gone into affect yet. Check your information. Goggle this Do you need a visa to enter Thailand if you are an American
Where do you get 4 months from? When a Visa is issued it is usually only valid for entry up to 90 days from the date of issue so applying 4 months in advance is crazy.
Well, we live in a lovely gated community at the beach, there is zero crime, I fill up my Porsche for £25 and our energy bill is £10 a month. We pay no tax, get a decent beer for a couple quid. We have a golf course and a pool too. Moving would be a hard choice.....and I am sure We can get my wife to Thailand eventually....
If true it's crap. If you're Russian you get 3 months visa free entry. I'd be buggered if I would be getting a visa 4 months ahead of time with all the other strings attached to visa approval.
i been here 8 years all that stuff is a lot of bull

Overall, it’s easier to do in Thailand. And no insurance requirement. But depends on your country of origin and how easy the application process is. Very easy inside Thailand, so no need to bother. Except tourist visa. Needs to be done outside

Sorry but I don't need it...visa free for 90 days 😝
the "one year" visa is not a visa, it is just a "1-year extension of a stay permit" (not a visa anymore). And first of all you will need a 90-days Non-Imm-O retirement visa, before you can apply for the "1-year extension of stay"
