Jila is correct you have to apply outside the country amd I have read that the approval process varies in time from country to country. You also can't apply more than 3 months in advance and obviously need the 500k baht in a Thai bank plus health insurance.

Brandon, I would assume you can apply at any embassy outside of Thailand but my question is more about which courses are accepted besides Muay Thai which seems to be very popular.

I know but I'll be in the UK for 5 months since I called the Thai Embassy in London.

They said they were no longer accepted as a qualification component of a DTV 2 application.

I suppose. An American mate said the embassy in LA accepted seminars but the London embassy doesn't.

thank you Brandon. Like many things here this programme seems quite full of inconsistency. I recently read that the Thai Embasdy in London approved a language course for one person but not another
