Hello Expats,
How you doing ?
So right now I'm in the bus coming back to HuaHin because today I went from HuaHin to Myanmar border for my second border run this year.
I'm French passport holder, and I will share with you my trip and how it goes for me with this Covid19 event.
7:15 - Departure from HuaHin Bus Station (soi51) to Kanchanaburi Bus Station (cost 220 bath - 4hours travel)
11:15 - At Kanchanaburi bus station, you go to Queue 7 and ask the lady for the bus to go to Myanmar Border, while waiting for your bus, go to toilet and go for a coffee break :) ( cost 50 baht for bus )
12:00 - Departure from Kanchanaburi Bus Station to PhuNamRon Border (1 hour and half)
13:30 - Ask immigration lady in pink to help you were to go if it's your first time there - Pay 950 bath for the border run - Fill the questionnaire for Covid-19 and the TM6 - And let the guide do his job for you, he will take care of your passport stamps in Myanmar all by himself. Normally you have to go with him but because of Covid-19, the immigration police is limiting people doing the border runs.
14:15 - You get back your passport from the guide, everything is stamped Myanmar side, next step, check up for Covid19 by doctor team from Thailand, then go to Immigration desk, get your stamps and you are good to do the exact same travel back to HuaHin.
Total cost : 1500baht
Travel time : from 7:15am to 20:30pm in HuaHin.
PS: immigration police there are limiting the number of time the guide do the bounce in the border, so come early and if possible don't do it in your last day of stay.
PS2: I've done this bounce with a German passport holder and a UK passport holder next to me :)
Hope it will help some of you.
Good luck and protect yourself, show them that you are concerned about it and wear a mask please! ❤️
