Has anyone used a business bank account to get a DTV / shorten the time requirement?
Answer summary
The consensus among commenters is that a business bank account cannot be used to satisfy the financial requirements for a DTV visa in Thailand. The 500,000 baht must be held in a personal bank account to demonstrate financial stability. Most embassies require evidence that the funds were in a personal account for a certain period, typically three months, to support the application. It's advised to check with the specific embassy for their rules, as there may be variations in processing and requirements.

You need a private personal account on your name with 500k held for at least 3 months. Not sure how do you think using a business account would shorten the time requirement
Depends on the embassy really and for the time some don’t require the 500k to have been in the account for 3 months just that at the time of applying the ending balance is 500k baht equivalent.
You’ll have to do the homework on the embassy you’re applying to. Give them a call and ask if the account you wish to use is valid. That is the ONLY way to be sure. The first thing I did and I found out I was able to use an account at MY embassy that I’ve seen people say is not allowed. So give a call and they’ll usually ask you to email a copy of the account summary
The 500k needs to be in a personal account. Money in a business account belongs to the business not to you, even though you might control that business
