Hi to all of you!

I have a question concerning the new rules with visa exempt and visa extension.

If I understand well we can technically obtain 2 visa exempt in a calendar year and for the first exempt a 30 days extension and for the second visa exempt a possible 7 days extension.

Now, if I arrived in october 17 and got a 30 days visa extension until january 14:

1- if I go for a border run I should have an other visa exempt;

2- for the visa extension will I have only a possible 7 days extension or because I will be in a new calendar year I would be able to get a 30 days extension.

Also I'm flying back in Canada on april 15 which gave me a 6 months trip.

If I can't get an other 30 days extension I will simply spend a month or in Laos or in Malaysia and come back for the 2 last months of my 6 months trip in Thailand.

I'm 71 years old and spending 6 months a year out of Canada is good enough for me.

And yes next time I will probably apply for a MEV (multi entry visa).

Thanks to all and please if you got nothing positive or usefull about my case I just rather hear nothing from you.

Thanks again!

Update: OK group. I got it. No need for more comments on this one. THANK YOU ALL for your comments and help.

Question about the 65k monthly income method for retirement visa extension: should all the monthly deposits be done to the same bank, or would it be okay for 11 deposits to one bank and one deposit to another bank? TIA.

So i know for retirement. You need the 800k in your account a few months before and a few months after your visa etc. What about for marriage visa. I know you need the 400k for 90 days prior. But what about after? Once I get my "under consideration" stamp or whatever it's called. Can I use it right away? I am not seeing anything about it.

Hi All, I'm new to the group.

I’m applying for a Thai non O-A visa. [members only]

One of the requirements is to provide a ”Recent bank statement for the last three months showing the applicant's name and ending balance of no less than $30,000 or proof of monthly income of not less than $2,500/month) along with the current bank statement showing incoming income”. I meet the $2,500/month requirement, though I only had the $30,000 for two months.

The doubt is that I usually keep the vast majority invested and not in a bank account.

Would it be beneficial to include a formal document from my investment account that indicates the total amount invested? The amount is significantly higher than the requirement, amounting to 800,000 baht.

Should I wait an additional month to submit my application?

I already rented a place to live. Should I provide a copy of the documentation from the home lease?

Is the application process based solely on uploading documents to the website or are the documents mailed to the embassy?

Thank you in advance.

PS: I already have Thai health insurance, completed the background check, the health certificate, a copy of my passport, and recent photos. My lease starts August 15.
