Not sure if I can ask this question here but, how can I get a thai driving license for bike?
If I take an agent is it safe and not a dodgy license that will create problems incase of an accident and police investigation?
And where to find agents?
Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a Thai driving license for a motorcycle, you can either convert an existing full motorcycle license from your home country with an International Driving Permit (IDP) or apply directly through the Department of Land Transport (DLT) by passing a theory and practical test. Using agents for assistance with the licensing process is generally safe, provided they are legitimate and take you to the DLT. Avoid agents who claim to issue licenses without your presence at the DLT, as this is usually a scam. It's advisable to find reputable driving schools or agents, such as PDLS-Phuket Driving License & Visa Service, who can help you through the legal processes.
I went to my local DLT with my docs did the online training on the e learning site showed the QR code to the lady and she made me an appointment for 4 days later . On that day I waited about 1.5hrs did the stupid light tests and press the peddle box thing then got both my bike and car cards . The lady told me that DLT offices also have a few walk in spots available so maybe best to pop into your local one and ask first
If you have a full motorcycle licence from your home country and an International Driving Permit, you can convert it. Otherwise, there is no legal alternative to taking the theory exam with 50 questions, where at least 45 must be answered correctly, and completing a practical riding test on the ramp at the DLT.
You need a Thai driving school, or an agent that specifically helps with drivers licenses. If you find someone who says they will get you a drivers license without going into the DLT, then it's 100% a scam, always, every time.
If you find an agent that will take you to the DLT and basically help you skip the line, then it's legit. If your license is issued to you directly by the DLT it is not dodgy.
