Morning everyone, I arrived on 2nd June 2025 on a non-o visa, I got my extension in September 2025, I have the lump sum on deposit in a Thai bank since 4th June2025, question is when can I touch the lump sum, am I right in thinking it’s 5 months after I arrived, do they take a different date. Treaty of Amity : if you use the treaty of Amity to open a TikTok Shop agency, does the law against doing online commerce selling not apply in this case?

The wording of the Treaty of Amity is confusing. It says it removes standard restrictions on foreign nationals minus in the 4 prohibited categories.

None of those categories are e-commerce or influencer marketing related.

Basically we want to open a talent agency in partnership with TikTok Thailand (MCN) and I've already got the connects.

And can I sponsor my own work permit with the agency?

I won't need a Thai partner according to the treaty

I will like to invest some business in Thailand, before that how can I open an account in Thailand bank

How feasible is it to open a business with a Thai person, and then get an approved business visa within 6 months? I have been here since February. The best case scenario would be tom come back in August and do the same tourist visa process. Then my understanding is I can start the 4 month cycle over at the beginning of the calendar year? Whatever the case is, I am hoping to have the business sponsor me and be able to work here after. Thank you for any guidance. I am well aware of the risks of doing business here. It will be a relatively small investment.

Hi friends, I have a question, please can any one can help me qith the answer? My uncle wants to open a business in Thailand, so I contact a agent who helps with the making business there. But the problem is my uncle wants to open business under his name. So the agent said first I need to open a business license with tax file... then he can do anything with that license and file, as like he can open business under his license and can buy land under that license to make business building....

Looking for a bit of advice please

We are entering Thailand on a ED visa for 12 months in Jan 18

I'm looking at continuing my business in Thailand so wanting to no how difficult it is to open to business to gain the visa I need to carry that on.

My wife is 50 in 2 yrs so was originally going to tag onto hers.

Any advice much appreciated
