Wanted to give an update on my 30 day extension experience at the immigration office in Ko Samui. It’s bit of a mad house if you go after lunch. I ended up waiting about an hour to have my number called to pay for my application then another half hour for my extension stamp. Bring a BLUE PEN or else you’ll be scrambling to borrow one. The shop downstairs next to the office offers printing services of 5 baht per copy if you need to make any. I don’t know how much the photo costs as I already had an extra one but they also offer this service. Inside the office, there are signs posted clearly stating you need to wear a mask and have proper attire, but it was not enforced by any Thai officials. People were wearing shorts, tanks, flip-flops, even saw a middle aged woman wearing daisy dukes 🤦🏻‍♂️ otherwise, process is very straightforward, just allocate spending about 2 hours of your day to get your extension

Hello everyone. My inquiry is about the requirements and process for the 1 year extension of stay application (based on retirement). I hold a US passport and am currently in Bangkok on a 90 day non-o Visa based on retirement. The stamp was obtained on 9-Nov-2021 (from CW), and expires 6-Feb-2022. I obtained the 90 day non-o Visa stamp using the banked funds method (e.g., 800,000 baht transferred from my US bank account into my Bangkok Bank account on 21-Oct-2021), and completed the TM30 using my current Bangkok address. I also now have a new 1 year lease agreement beginning 15-Jan-2022 for a condo (at a new address) in Bangkok. In addition, I would like to apply for my multi-entry permit at the same time I apply you my 1 year extension of stay.

What I want to better understand are next steps and preparation, and what can I expect when going to CW to apply for my 1 year extension of stay (i.e., when should I apply, what do I need to have in hand; is there a waiting period, etc.). Thank you in advance.

I'm going to Chaeng Wattana this week to get another yearly extension based on being parent to a Thai child. Searched this group before posting but I've been unable to find what I'm looking for which is the latest list of the supporting documentation required for that extension. I ask because these things can and do change in the year between applications.

Last time I got caught out on not having a letter from the int'l kindergarten my daughter attends stating she was enrolled there and a photo of me, the sprog and her mother in the lounge and in front of the condo building.

I've done all the legitimization stuff years ago so not worried about that but I've heard rumblings that the 400k apparently needs to be seasoned for two months like it has to be for marriage and retirement extensions. Is this the case at Chaeng Wattana?

Anyway, thanks for the list in advance
