TLDR : Answer Summary
When extending a visa exemption in Thailand for another 30 days, there is generally no requirement to show proof of funds at the immigration office. To complete the extension, you may need to provide a passport-sized photo and the address of your accommodation. However, specific photo size requirements can vary by immigration office, with Chiang Mai requiring a 4x6 cm photo.

A picture . . And an address

Chiang Mai is 4x6cm. You can do them in a shop out there in Promenada but cheaper to make your own. But as Charlotte says 4x6 which is bigger than the normal 3.5x4.5

it’s the slightly bigger visa size ones. Not sure if the measurements, but you can get them done there.

what size do they get in chiang mai?

Photo size depends on which immigration office. For example Chiang Mai require the bigger size photos and will not accept passport size.

No, for an extension of stay you are not required to show proof of funds at the immigration office.

Just curious, where did you enter the country that you were asked to show proof of funds on a 30 day visa exempt entry?
