Hello. Am trying to fill out the form for tourist visa at [members only]/ but the form is asking for many things that I don't think are actually required. For example it's asking for a criminal record check and for a medical certificate.

I have never been asked those when entering thailand.

It's also asking for for proof of 14 days SAQ but the new rule is just 1 day test & go.

Am I on the right site? Do travelers need to acquire their tourist visa before departing or is it possible to have a visa on arrival like before?

Answer summary

The user is confused about the tourist visa application process for Thailand, as the required application form asks for documentation not typically needed for tourists, such as a criminal record check and a medical certificate. The user also questions the need for proof of a 14-day stay, given recent changes to a 1-day test & go rule. Various comments suggest the user may have selected the incorrect visa type and provides guidance on what to do.

Something is not correct, I believe you picked the wrong choice when you started applying.

If you're just wanting a 'regular' single entry tourist visa you DO NOT want that top STV choice you want THIS choice.

It would help if you told us what Thai Visa are you trying to get ???

Is it the STV Short term visa for up to 9 months stay ?

Or the O-A visa for retirement ?

Or ???

What is your passport nation?

Where are you applying from ...what country are you in ?
