TLDR : Answer Summary
It's common for applicants to book flights and accommodation prior to obtaining a DTV visa. You typically only need to provide a flight number and intended date on the application, and while some embassies may require actual tickets, many accept refundable bookings. Similarly, you can list your first intended accommodation without needing to have a long-term reservation in place.
The application form asks for intended or proposed flight and date it doesn't mean you have to buy a ticket, you're under no obligation, the same with your accommodation just put the first hotel you're going to stay at the day you arrive
The application asks for intended date you fly. So you can pick any date within 3 months, look up the airline website for the flight number and use that.
Accomodation I have made a fully refundable hotel booking for 1 month and used that. However, on my application even though I had the invoice I forgot to upload it and they didnt ask for proof
