Does anyone have experience applying at DC Embassy with multiple accounts?
I have the required 500k baht in three different accounts (all with my name on them):
1. Chase Bank Checking
2. Commonwealth Bank Checking (Aus)
3. Chase Bank Savings
What is the best way to present this to the embassy? A cover letter explaining the accounts, along with the 3 months bank statement and a reconciliation of account balances over the last three months - both total and per account?
I have far more than enough funds to meet the DTV Workcation requirement, but the problem is that most of the money has been in a business account for a while. The business account only has my LLC name on the statement. I have proof that I own the LLC and the account as well.
I’ve also heard that some consulates (including rumors of DC) will accept investments as proof of requirement but others won’t.
I have emailed the embassy but have not received a response.
For those that were employed by foreign country for DTV workcation category and provided letter from employer - did embassy make any enquiries to employer to verify?
I’m happy to share that my DTV workcation visa has been approved in Hungary (I’m a Hungarian citizen). For anyone going through the process: the day after I submitted my application, they asked me for a copy of my flight ticket and hotel booking, and then 10 working days later I received the approval email.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to this group for all the helpful information. Really appreciate everyone here who takes the time to share their experiences - it genuinely helps a lot. Wishing good luck to anyone currently applying!
Hello, I am US citizen applying for DTV workcation from Ho Chi Minh City consulate with my Russian wife as dependent. We're hoping to get this done this month before early April.
Financial proof wiseI have an official investment brokerage proof-of-funds letter showing my assets well past the threshold required for this visa, plus a US bank statement from march showing my monthly income in March. Has anyone been approved at HCM using a brokerage/investment letter rather than a traditional bank statement? How many months of statements did they want and how recent? I earn enough to qualify for both of us but the cash comes to my account every few months, so I am wondering how particular they are about proof of funds.
I'm a freelance with with no employment contract. What did your portfolio look like — did a simple 1-2 page document listing clients, services marketing profiles and income work, or did they want more? Did they ask for a cover letter too?
For my wife, our Russian marriage certificate has an apostille and notarized English translation. Will this be accepted? And can my wife submit her dependent application simultaneously with mine online, or does she have to wait until my visa is approved first?
Hi . I applied for DTV workcation visa in Japan. Bank statement also ok. they called me for interview. after 5 days later they give me Touris Visa with multi entry. Is that wrong or shall I ask to embassy !
I’m applying for a DTV Workcation visa in Hanoi, where I’m currently located, as a U.S. business owner.
I have all my documents ready: bank statements (USD 17,000 savings, weekly USD 1,000 transfers), tax returns, self-employment letter, and hotel confirmation.
I’m confused about the apostille for my business registration. The embassy says it proves my business’s legitimacy, but it takes 1-2 weeks to get from Utah. Some say Hanoi might accept a non-apostilled certified copy if financial proof is strong.
Has anyone applied for the Workcation DTV as a business owner in Hanoi? Did you need the apostille, or was a certified business registration enough? Any tips? Thanks!
