Hi All

I am on an extension of stay (married to Thai national), it will expire towards the end of December, however I have a long trip mid December to mid January (abroad), wanted to know a few things:

1- when you renew the eos, do you get the one month under review thing (like when you apply for first time)? My concern is that if I renew it and get the under review stamp, I think I will be abroad and won't be in Thailand by the tine I have to go.

2 how long I can apply in advance (division 1 in bangkok), I saw it is 30 days or 45, but not sure if each division has a different rule.

Many thanks in advance

Hi there, me again. I heard about ppl getting the vaccine outside of Thailand and then coming right back and i thinking about doing something similar. I'm on an ed-visa, first extension of stay (until dec21) and the university will be closed from mid may until August (summer break) and i assume that after that they'll continue classes online (i honestly don't think the situation will be much better then than it is now but feel free to share your opinion on this). So the idea is to go to Germany and stay for maybe half a year. Now my question is will i have to get a new visa (and after three months apply for a new extension of stay) or can i get a reentry permit (assuming that i reenter before the end of my current extension of stay)? Will Immigration get suspicious when see that i came on ed visa for 9 months, leave for half a year and come back on ed visa again? I know that it's hard to say because it's always up to the officer and the case but maybe someone has been in a similar situation and has some insight. Also I'll go to immigration mid month for my 90day report and will take the occasion to ask immigration as well. Thanks for any input!

Hey guys,

how long is the tourist visa M 60 valid if I am traveling abroad?

I am arriving on the 31 of august. I am going to India for one month in November. Come back to Thailand and then I am going to Mexico in the beginning of January and planning to stay there for round 3 month. Is then my visa M 60 still valid when I will come back to Thailand for stay 60 more days?

Thanks a lot :-)

My 3th and final extension of stay based on ED visa is coming to an end so I'm going to get a new one at Ho Chi Minh. I will be abroad when the extension finishes. Do I need to cancel it before I leave the Kingdom? I know when you have an extension based on work you need to cancel it, but not sure about this one? School says it isn't necessary and other students seem fine also, but I want to be sure. 😅 Jomtien immigration btw.

I’ve searched through all the 90 day posts and I would just like confirmation that as I will be in Australia when my 90 days is up on 17 Feb and I won’t be back in Thailand until 21 Feb I don’t need to go to immigration before I leave and my next 90 days will start from 21 Feb. I have a retirement visa with multiple entries.

Exchange student with ED single entry visa here. I am going to be travelling a lot abroad during my studies and my question is that is the "multiple re-entry permit" enough for me and does it restart my 90 days ED visa everytime I come back from travels or do I still need to apply also for the visa extension? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone. I have a one year extension and multiple re-entry permit both ok until 2019 from BKK Imm offices. I am moving this month from a condo to another but still in bkk and will be traveling few days later out of the country for few weeks. Question is : should I make notification of a change of adress with tm28 & tm30 before traveling out of the Kingdom or do it when back in the Kingdom at next 90 report? thanks

I am a US passport holder in Chiang Mai. I’m studying Thai and I got my ED Visa in Vientiane earlier this month (I used Aya Service, easy enough). Question: my Ed visa is only for 90 days and I understand I have to go to immigration to get an extension every 3 months up until one year, or can I also leave the country and get a stamp? I was told by someone at school that I can’t leave the country to go home to US, and told by someone else that I must leave the country during this year. So which is it? I would like to visit the US this year, but not if it cancels my ed visa. Thanks!
