I’m from Germany and actually staying in Thailand till 17 Dez. Then I fly to Bali for 7 Days and return to Thailand. In this time I want to apply for the DTV with a Muay Thai course. Is it possible in this time return to Thailand and get the DTV Visa? Or can I come back to Thailand on the 24 Dez, get Visa on arrival and get the DTV E-Visa when I am already there? I know Taipei may have plans to go to the E-Visa system at the end of the year and heard Jakarta was transitioning at the end of November. But I have seen posts that walk in visa services are going to continue until the end of the year. Just want to confirm before booking travel to get a workcation dtv in December. Since it seems like once they go to the E-Visa system it takes much longer.

Unfair Treatment by the Thai Embassy in Egypt

I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with the Thai Embassy in Egypt due to the unfair and unexplained treatment I received regarding my visa application.

I applied and paid for a DTV online, fulfilling all the requirements and providing the necessary documents. The embassy requested an interview, and when I arrived, I was denied direct access to any responsible officer. Instead, a security guard took my passport, went inside, and returned after 10 minutes saying that the visa officer refused to issue the DTV without offering any valid reason.

Instead, they decided to issue me a 6-month multiple-entry tourist visa, which is not the type of visa I applied and paid for. No explanation was given, no document was flagged, and I wasn’t allowed to discuss or understand the reason behind their decision.

This behavior is unprofessional, unfair, and completely disregards transparency and respect for applicants. It’s unacceptable to change the visa type without justification, especially after I followed all the procedures and paid the required fees.

I urge the relevant authorities and the Thai Embassy to take accountability for their actions and address this issue. This kind of treatment undermines trust and respect for such institutions.

Arrived in Thailand - August 24 on DTV visa. Based in Chaiyaphum, visited immigration yesterday for 90 day check in, they confirmed I needed to do this.

In regards to my next visit, they are saying I can get an extension for another 6 months or if I leave the country and come back in I will need to report and show evidence of funds in the bank. I did not think this was an ongoing requirement?

I think I am the first and only person in the area on the DTV visa as they had to do some research before confirming.

Is ongoing proof of funds a requirement for DTV that others have experienced?

If I have Non OA Multy entrance 1 year visa stamp from home Country, let’s say I’ll stay 10 months and live and coming back after 2 weeks

I will purchase other one year health insurance ( what is required) what is start on my return date,

Possible to get other 1 year stamp start again from the returning date ?
