Do visa approvals in Thailand happen on weekends or only business days?

Am waiting in Phnom Penh for my visa application result. It’s been sat at ‘processed, pending approval’ for 2 days, and my flight back is tomorrow. Before I book an alternative flight, does anyone know if the approvals only happen Mon to Friday, or do they also process at all on the weekend ??

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the timing of visa approvals while waiting in Phnom Penh, specifically asking if approvals are processed on weekends since their application has been pending for two days before their return flight. A comment indicated that approvals typically occur only on business days, but system updates might delay reflecting approvals.

Approvals are only made on business days, but it seems that in some situations, the online system updates slightly later. So it is possible that the staff approved an application today but it doesn’t show up in the system until tomorrow. When did you apply?

they say it takes 10 working days on their website, excluding the day you submit your application. The 3rd of June was definitely a holiday, the 2nd may also have been. So what date did you actually submit your application?

also, I think people need to also realize, if you submit in the afternoon or evening, that is really a next day submission.

@John ******
certainly true if you submit outside of normal working hours, including weekends

- I think of it similar to how in person submissions worked. You could only submit 9-11:

. Besides the recent delays, I was previously following Cambodia turnaround times (when it actually was almost universal 10 days plus 1 submission date=11). Previously, if someone submitted afternoon or evening it almost always was 12 days.
