Hi all, I tried using Sinbi Muay Thai gym in Rawai for the soft power visa however they advised that they stopped providing supporting documentation for the soft power visa.

Can anybody recommend a high quality Muay Thai gym in Phuket that is offering the supporting documentation for the soft power DTV visa please?

Hi guys, hopefully just a quick question. Changing from retirement visa to marriage. Money seasoned etc got all docs. I went to Jomtien Immigration today to ask for requirements info. He also gave me form.for extension of stay to complete. I assume this is to tide me over in the interim period between retirement visa stopping and marriage visa is granted!! Am I correct. Thanks

Good day folks. I have just had a call from my neighbour who is in a bit of a panic. He has lived here in Thailand for 20+ years on a retirement extension. He has been married to a Thai lady all this time but chose the retirement extension option over the married option to minimise paperwork.

Last month he went back to the UK for some medical tests and this procedure will run to the end of October, then he will return to Thailand.

Unfortunately he has made the schoolboy error of not getting a re-entry permit. The day he went to get it at immigration here in Hua Hin the place was closed for a holiday. It totally slipped his mind on departure at Suvarnabhumi so he now finds himself visa-less so to speak.

My question is ...... what does he need from the Thai Embassy in London so that he can kick-start the whole extension process when he gets back here at the end of October?

He still has his 800k in the bank here untouched for many years. He has no medical insurance in Thailand if that affects his options. I also suspect he will change to the married extension this time.

Thank you for your time.

I come to Thailand each year. Next year I want to spend 3 months there in the Australian winter. This year I investigated extending my stay but changed my mind when the cost of changing the date of my return ticket was $AUD680, much more than half the total cost. Next visit I intend to stay 2 months visa free then extend a month. What are the best options for an outward/return ticket? It's obviously financially punitive to change the date and I assume that if I am asked to show an outward flight, a return ticket dated 3 months from arrival would not be accepted. There is always the option to buy a cheap throwaway ticket (if such now exists) to KL or a refundable one. Any thoughts on the best option?

Nope you cannot. Once the consulates went to online eVisa applications they standardized the process. You also cannot get year-long, multi-entry Non-O visas anymore, just single entry 90 day.

You have to show 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only or the equivalent in a bank in your country,

It works like this;

You go to Lao. You log into the eVisa online system. You upload the required documents (proof you're in Lao, proof of funds, marriage certificates, letter from your wife asking they issue the visa, your passport). you submit your application & you get an email confirmation. Print it out and take it to the consulate to pay in cash for the visa (between 9-11 M-F).

Then you wait in Lao until the visa is approved, usually 3-5 business days.

Once they email you the approval you print out the PDF file (as it is your visa) then present it with your passport when you stamp back in to thailand.

Hello everyone!

I received my medical soft power DTV after four weeks โ€“ in Austria. ๐Ÿฅณ Thanks for your help!! Khob khun ka ๐Ÿ™

So โ€ฆ Next Step! Is it necessary for my family members to apply for it in Austria, or can they do so in a country where it is faster? So that it matches my DTV? I do not have any international documents. In Austria, I am concerned that it may take too long due to public holidays. ๐Ÿคจ

Hello everyone,

I just got a Non O Marriage visa and Iโ€™m entering phuket Thailand to activate it on Thursday 25th September to activate it.

Previously we filled out the TM30 online as if I was paying rent at my wifeโ€™s house with a lease document when I was on a tourist visa.

Could you please let me know how does my wife fill out the TM30 now?

Do we just need the marriage visa document?

Is there anything else?

Thanks so much in Advance ๐Ÿ™
