The post seeks information regarding border runs into Thailand from Kedah, Malaysia, specifically at the Dannok crossing. A comment shared an experience indicating potential issues when attempting border runs without a visa, suggesting that it's advisable to apply for a visa prior to entry or to enter via air for a visa exemption.

Hey I just had an experience with border runs / visa runs. I would say that you would encounter some issues with the immigration officer if you don’t hold a prior visa because i think they are no longer accepting and allowing border runs. I have tried to do a border runs from Lao to Thailand but i was told to go back to Lao and enter Thailand by Airport so i would get a visa exemption for 60-days stay. I suppose that you would require a valid visa to enter any border in Thailand. For your information, i’m Indonesian. Maybe the best advice that i can provide is just apply new visa (visa runs) or just get in by plane if you’re not holding both citizenship.

Anyone please correct me if i’m wrong.
