I have a question about the "Document indicating current location" part of the application. I am currently in Bali, and I am ready to submit my application online. The Jakarta embassy state the visa processing time is 10 working days. [members only]/

My questions:

1)Do I need to submit my hotel booking, or can I submit something else as evidence?

2)If I submit my hotel booking, do I need to book the hotel for the full 10 working days (eg book the hotel for 2 weeks), and then submit the booking?

I am planning to visit Cambodia to apply for a DTV. Do American citizens need a visa to enter the country, or can I obtain it upon arrival?

I am applying for the Dtv in Ho Chi Minh, but my friend is letting me stay at his apartment while he is away in the US and i‘m paying him directly.

Do i Need to book a hotel to show physical proof i’m in vietnam or can i explain my unique situation?

If i need to book a hotel, how many days does it need to be booked?

Either way is fine but i need to be prepared

update: just received my dtv visa💫 applied online 28.11 in Indonesia. 29.11 I was asked for additional document which was picture of a stamp on arrival, received visa Monday 2.12 evening ✨

FYI, I applied for DTV online via Jakarta embassy on Nov 26 (the first day they began accepting online applications). I got my approval Nov 29. Soft power, medical.

Greetings all. I’m seeking a bit of advice.

I’m going to apply for the DTV (soft power activity) however, an opportunity to be a Social Media Manager for my aesthetician (U.S. based) is being discussed.

If it comes to fruition before I apply for my DTV, should I include that in my application? And if it occurs afterwards, should I reapply under the workstation visa process?

I am have a 1-year ed-visa in Chiang Mai but I am currently residing in Bangkok as I can study remotely online. I have an TM-30 in Bangkok. I entered Bangkok Airport 95 days ago and now realise I need to my 90-day report. As my ed-visa is in Chiang Mai, will I encounter any issues if I go to Bangkok immigration office for my 90-day report?

My wife, a Filipina, intends to apply for a Non O Visa early next year in Manila to enable her to stay in Thailand as a dependent on my retirement Visa.

The question is when does the clock start ticking; is it the day she gets the stamp in Manila or from the time she enters Thailand? The problem is she will be going to Australia direct from Manila for 2 months.

If it is from the date it is stamped in Manila she will only have one months validity once she gets to Thailand. Is that a problem; does it matter?

Just as a matter of interest we made inquiries with the embassies in Laos, Vietnam and Malaysia none of whom were able to process a Non O Visa (obtaining this information by the way was not easy. It took a lot of effort and many emails to find out the answer was NO. We even tried Australia and received two nonsensical answers before they stopped replying at all).

As an aside to this I am curious as to why it has to be applied for outside of Thailand anyway.
