Hello everybody, hope you are doing good.

I have a couple of doubts that I hope you skilled people can help me resolve.

I’m planning on entering Thailand with an exemption visa in circa a week from Vietnam through Bangkok airport. I was thinking, once there, maybe after a month or something, asking for a Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa.

First question is if you think it is possible to ask for this type of visa while already in the country with an exemption visa.

Second question is I’ve read that the visa is six months long for up to 60 days stays, i was wondering if it means that I can entry the country for 6 months or I can stay in the country 6 months. What I mean is what if I stay 60 days in the country and 30 in another country and then get back for other 60 days etc, would it work for more then a year? Just trying to understand how it works.

I hope my question was clear as English is not my first language 🙂

Thank you in advance!

Hey guys, I’m a remote worker in Hong Kong and want to apply for DTV (workcation). My contract states that my work location is “any designated location” and I’m employed by a Hong Kong entity. However, my company also has a thailand business registration (they can relocate me but my salary needs to be reduced which I don’t want to).

Am I still eligible to apply for DTV?

Hello Everyone,

Here are my application processes,

1. As an Australian, I applied my DTV visa online via thaievisa.go.th in Australia.

2. I'm not a digital nomad nor freelancer so I applied as a remote worker.

3. Because of applying as a remote worker, I need to submit employment contract and a letter from my employer confirming that i'm eligible to work remotely.

4. After submitting the above documents with the remaining requirements such as proof of funds, proof of location etc.

5. Also need to provide intended travel date.

6. After 7 working days my DTV visa was approved on 21 November.

Heading to Bangkok in New Year.

Note: If your employment contract does not include remote work clauses, you need a letter from your employer confirming you are eligible to work remotely.

Wishing you all all the best. Hope to catch up some of you in Thailand.

Anyone else use a screenshot of bank account when applying? Washington Thai embassy. Workcation. Business owner.

Things I included in the application :

-Texas ID for proof of location

-Articles of formation and EIN letter from IRS

-Screenshot of my website

-Screenshot of my Shopify sales report for 12 months

-Letter stating that I am the sole owner of my business with hundred percent ownership, statement that I don’t have any clients in Thailand and only have customers in North America Europe

-Screenshot of bank balance with $24,000.

My account is a business account with my business name on it, but I can get a letter from the bank stating I am sole owner of account.

Has anyone applied with children dependents for the DTV from Los Angeles Consulate? We'll apply for 4 visas (myself, spouse, our 2 kids). I've seen some posts saying they applied with 500,000 THB for each person, so I would need 2,000,000 THB for a family of 4 and I thought I saw someone that only had 1,000,000 for them and their spouse and they provided a letter for their children.

Thank you everyone for all the opinions and suggestions and advices..and I apologize if I caused a stir..since majority suggest Thai language is not accepted under soft power, I will heed the advice. Today hubby will register for Muay Thai instead..I will update the group and wish us luck in Hanoi..this group has shown more concern and better knowledge of what's going on than the other group..I really appreciate the patience you showed me..

Hi everyone, hubby and I are looking to relocate to Koh Samui next year and plan on applying for the new DTV. We will be using the soft power option, me cooking, hubby Muay Thai. Does anyone know of any gyms and cooking schools located on Koh Samui that would be suitable for us to obtain this visa, or give me an idea of what to search for? Thanks so much for any help and info you can give, much appreciated 🙏
