What is the application process for a DTV visa for remote workers in Thailand?

Hello Everyone,

Here are my application processes,

1. As an Australian, I applied my DTV visa online via thaievisa.go.th in Australia.

2. I'm not a digital nomad nor freelancer so I applied as a remote worker.

3. Because of applying as a remote worker, I need to submit employment contract and a letter from my employer confirming that i'm eligible to work remotely.

4. After submitting the above documents with the remaining requirements such as proof of funds, proof of location etc.

5. Also need to provide intended travel date.

6. After 7 working days my DTV visa was approved on 21 November.

Heading to Bangkok in New Year.

Note: If your employment contract does not include remote work clauses, you need a letter from your employer confirming you are eligible to work remotely.

Wishing you all all the best. Hope to catch up some of you in Thailand.

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Australian user shares their experience applying for a DTV visa as a remote worker through the official Thai e-visa website. They outline key steps in their application process, such as submitting proof of employment, proof of funds, and intended travel date. The user highlights the importance of having a letter from the employer if the employment contract does not explicitly mention remote work rights. They received their visa approval in 7 working days and are set to travel to Bangkok in the New Year.
