Why was I issued a 2-year driving license instead of a 5-year license at DLT Chatuchak in Bangkok?
Today went to DLT Chatuchak in Bangkok, wasn't sure if I will get 2 or 5 years driving licence today. Staff needed to discuss a little bit and they apologise but they can give me only 2 years driving licence. They say a few days ago they would gave me 5 years. But they said that "some regulations changed". If other DLTs still issue 5 years DL for DTV holders maybe it is worth to have trip there.

DTV is at heart a tourist visa not a long stay visa so 2 years is correct
