Haven't lived in Bangkok but believe its quite good for rent, if you go down to places like Phuket it will be more expensive.

you will definitely have savings on your budget, as people are saying rent is the one you can save on but it will be down to personal choice, I myself like something a bit nicer so if this is your preference you can go higher but if not a problem you could get something cheaper. Also depends on the area.

now I don’t think my application to Dakar went through because I’d already applied to the French embassy. I’ll have to wait for it to be rejected then go fir Dakar again.
