Just rejected for COE because my flight according to RTE London is leaving from France. Actually it’s leaving from Sierra Leone which has no embassy which is why I applied at London because I’m a British citizen. They say I need to apply to the Paris embassy but who wants to bet when I do they reject it saying my flight is departing from Sierra Leone. Why does it matter where you apply you still need the same criteria?
TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat faced rejection for their Certificate of Entry (COE) application when they applied at the British embassy in London, citing their flight's departure from Sierra Leone. The embassy advised applying through the French embassy instead, causing frustration over perceived inconsistencies in the application requirements, especially regarding the departure location and its relevance.
