Sorry to hear of your experience. Mine total opposite. Arrived back from Australia with frozen account. Went to branch were i open my bb account walked out less than an hour and all opened and app working. Obviously had all the required paperwork they wanted to see, did face recognition and sorted.

I arrived Wednesday morning went to Bangkok Bank Seacon had my account sorted in 30 minutes tried a transfer yesterday to the Mrs and no problem.

DTV is not issued for those who work away from Thailand fifo etc you would need to meet one of the criteria,s to get the DTV other than your offshore work

OA is 1 plus 1 year. OX is 5 plus 5 years go to Thai embassy Canbera to read about them

Your to young must be over 50 :)

You could do what I did. I got the OX visa leaving my money in Australia. I travel to Thailand 2 weeks every month, still working fifo on 2 and 2 roster. Some don't like to suggest OA or OX due to the insurance requirements I personally like having health insurance plus I have a yearly travel policy.
