Opened account at Bangkok bank yesterday and yes they did facial scan also I had to go AIS do 50 baht top up and get a receipt to show proof of number to the bank. Krungthai did scan late last year.

Had 1 farang refused account while I was there.

I went yesterday and had one in 30 minutes. BUT I meet the banks requirements to be able to apply.

They declined 1 farang whilst I was there. The person asked me why I get and they don't.

I have an email from Bangkok bank confirming what's required. Thing it did not mention was having a receipt from AIS to confirm my phone number.

Issue is not about it being locked it's a HE saying SHE locked HER PROFILE that's my thoughts.
