Tourist visa or visa exempt 2 different things ?

Got on arrival means no visa was simply a stamp for 60 days. How often have you done this ?

Immigration will eventually question why you don't get a proper/correct visa to stay longer.

Hi Jim I always re-new my insurance but have never been asked to prove it. I do carry a copy just incase one day they decide to ask :)

No idea who would have fined them, Insurance is part of permission to hold and enter. One would think they would have been turned away.

Very confusing question you need to write it better.

Your entry into Vietnam where you will apply does not mean anything to Thai immigration when you come into Thailand they just need to see your visa.

If you leave Thailand you no longer have a valid stamp so it doesn't matter you come back on a different visa stamp

Depends on which immigration office your going to they have different rules

In many Immigration office yes in some no

Why not just take it regardless
