Seeing that you were stamped in January for less than a year, I believe you entered on a re-entry permit and that your visa has already expired.

It is your permission to stay that expires in November.

So you need to get some kind of extension before that time

@Risto ***********
, your options are an 1 year extension based on either marriage or retirement.

Or you could apply for a 60 days extension for visiting Thai family. That would buy you some time to season the money

@Jeno ******
, not without a non-immigrant visa.

A non-immigrant is a requirement for all 1 year extensions

@Gregor *********
, he can not apply for 1 year extension based on that stamp.

He will need to apply for a non-immigrant visa first.

You DO need to get the marriage registered in Thailand to get an extension based on marriage.

There is no "remarrying" involved. Just register your marriage at the amphur office

One of the things immigration has to check, is if the marriage is de jure AND de facto. Hence all the paperwork and checks.

If you are over 50 years old, it's not very likely to change, hence less paperwork

Just to add to the confusion..

Why is it that if you are a woman married to a Thai man, you don't have to show money at all? 🤔
Alf ***********
Because one of the requirements for an 1 year extension is that you have a non-immigrant visa

You can get a non-immigrant O visa inside Thailand. But the normal thing to do is to get it in your home country.

An O-A visa can only be obtained in your home country, and is ALWAYS multiple entry.

METV is irrelevant here
