Does crossing the border by land count as exiting Thailand?

Nope, you have to renounce your entry by sending a 10,000 word hand written letter to the king of thailand and pay $1m to be considered as exiting the country via a land border and it also doesnt count if you cross into cambodia as you'll need to additionally ride a donkey over the border
